Lonely Planet once called Latvia the “meat in the Baltic sandwich”, and it is not just because it happened to be in the middle between Estonia and Lithuania. Latvia seems to rise as the economical centre of the Baltics.
No long ago in an article by Forbes magazine, Lithuania was highlighted among the top 3 best places to visit in 2015. One can only wonder, How such an inconspicuous country could produce an impression one of the most prestigious publications in the world?
